USED OIL WELL PIPE
Often mistakenly called “drill stem”, it is actually steel tubing and comes in a variety of outside diameters and wall thicknesses and usually averages 31.5’ in length and has different weights per foot. Tubing was used to convey hydrocarbons to the surface and reaches the end of its useful life for this for a variety of reasons before it becomes structural material.

Used and Surplus Line Pipe
Line pipe is pipe that has been used for flow or transportation line to convey produced hydrocarbons, water, or other. Line pipe varies from oil well tubing and casing in how it is measured with the inside diameter is given as the pipe size. It also comes in a variety of sizes and thicknesses from 1/8” up to 52” Surplus Pipe could be anything new or used that is available.

New Reject Pipe
New reject can be either oil well tubing and casing or line pipe. It is a newly milled pipe that has not made the grade to be used for its intended purpose and becomes secondary. It is still good for many structural applications. It will usually have plain ends as it has never been threaded and come in the same sizes.

De-coiled
De-coiled tubing is pipe that has been used in oilwell operations in a coiled form and has been straightened out and cut into commonly used lengths such as 24” and 32”. It comes in similar sizes to oilwell tubing and is normally thicker walled.

Drill Pipe
This is the actual drill stem that is used to drill wells and is usually much thicker than the tubing and casing. It also comes in various sizes and while it can be used for structural fencing materials it’s not as practical as the others but has other special uses for heavier applications.
While we don’t normally stock it as we do the others, we can get it.
